My car is a 1992 Eclipse GS N/T 6-Bolt 4g63. I replaced the head with a 2g turbo head off of a 1995 GST.
My Setup:
1g lower 6-bolt block
2g turbo head w/ 1g N/T cams
2g Intake Manifold NOT port matched to throttle body
1g Throttle body
2.4L Injectors (275cc vs. the stock 240cc)
2g fuel rail w/ 2g turbo fuel pressure regulator.
My Problem:
The engine has great low end power (kind of a rough idle under 900 RPMs) but at 4,500 RPMs where it should start getting all its power, the engine just seems to struggle! It's not a bogging or stuttering that I get, it's more like starvation. The engine actually starts to get a bit louder but it doesn't sound like horsepower, it sounds like an intake whine or so?
I used to own a 96 Talon N/T that would feel like it wanted to fly at >4,500 RPMs! The Talon didn't have the restrictive MAF that the 92 I own now has (which may not even be a problem). I never drove a 1g Eclipse N/T before so I don't know if this is normal or what.

) so the power just is not there.
