ok, i JUST bought a 93 talon tsi. i was going outside to do some of the free mods, and i noticed that the vacuum port on the MAS was capped off, and there is a plug right near the air can that doesnt have anything to plug in. also the wastegate vacuum line just goes to the nipple on the J-pipe?

do i need to find a new one? or just buy a MBC to fix the problem? its only boosting around 8psi from what the previous owner told me

So you are running 8 psi or thats just what the owner told you. If you are not running the wastegate vacuum line into boost control soleniod along with the one off the blow off valve then you will either need some other form of boost control MBC. If you are running the 8 psi he told you then you maybe alright leaving it all as it is now but if you want alittle more I would suggest going back to stock at least as much as you can before you start modding make sure it will be a stable platform to build upon. Then with the factory boost control solenoid in place you can pull out the plastic pieces in the one tube and gain a pound or two of boost. I hope I was of assistance.

he had put a boost gauge on it, and told me it was running 8psi.

does not having any vacuum line on the MAS matter? thats the only thing that i'm concerned about.

oh and a vacuum line chart or diagram would help alot, i just found a BCS for $5, so i'll go ahead and get it. cause i have no idea as how to run all the vacuum lines

If you run the BSC, you'll need some of the stock hoses to it too or the restrictor pellet to put in your own hose. The restrictor slows the air entering the hoses from the turbo so that the BCS can actually lower the pressure in them going to the wastegate when it opens. Without the restrictor the turbo overpowers the BCS.
