My car doesn't seem to have any power below 3k rpms, when I pull out I either barely move at all or I have to take it up to like 4k before I get moving. It doesn't seem to matter how much I have the gas in either, it accelereates the same wether I'm barely on the gas or flooring it until I get to like 4k. Also, I have no boost until I get up past like 3k, when accelerating the boost will go up to 0 but just sit there, I only have an EvoIII 16g so it shouldn't take much spool time. I checked for boost leaks, didn't find any. Any ideas guys? I want to have some in between power, not just barely pulling out or flooring it. Thanks for any ideas.

What kind of EVO316G and is your wastegate hooked up correct? Could be a timing issue but sounds more like a boost/wastegate issue.

i have a TD05 20g in my car. it doesnt really start spooling untill 3k. but it moves. especially if i brake boost it. seems like A/T are pretty slow in the low rpm's. however, i did have the same problem you are having now when i vented my BOV (had too but just for a little while). i forgot to cap of the return tube on the intake and i had no idea. the car wouldnt move no matter how much gas i gave it, untill it got to 4k rpm. i dont know how your car is running otherwise, but i would start with a solid boost leak test.

My timing has always been weird so that might be it, we've checked it a bunch of times and for some reason the cam gear notches don't line up but everything else lines up and it runs fine other than that. As far as I know the wastegate is hooked up correctly. I read somewhere else that someone suggest the cam angle sensor, which mine was bad and replaced and the car runs better since that, but the problem is still there. I just feel torqueless under 3k.

(joyfil) OP has a 5 speed. But just throwing it out there... my a/t will out launch my buddy's 5 speed awd talon most of the time. But I do leave the line at like 3.2k with almost 8psi...

(op) You have a wide band yea? Is the car running rich at all??

I had this same issue. My problem was my actuator came off. I was looking for 2 days, changed out boost lines and vac lines and then my buddy saw it unhooked. I rehooked it and that was it. Problem solved.

Yes I do have a wideband and it does read fairly rich under heavy throttle so I'm gonna try and do some tuning this weekend, I have prom tomorrow so I don't know how soon i'll get around to it. And I'll double check the actuator and other things like that. I gave my friend who has a supercharged cobra a ride in it today and he said "wow, I'm not used to such late power delivery" haha

I haven't checked the turbo since I got it, new. I didn't think anything really happened that would mess the turbo up but I guess we'll give that a shot, it couldn't hurt, hopefully.
