well i have owned my car for almost a year fixed about everything you can. Did a motor swap because old one spun a bearing. Found a good 7 bolt to swap into my car along with a tranny. Car fired up on the first try and everything is good. Now im looking for a vacum leak some were car wants to idle at 2500 give or take.
Also one of the belts are squeling really bad. ITs got a new timing belt but my powersteering and alternator belts came off my old motor. decent condition no need to replace. im just wondering where to look for the contact point? its got a little slack in the alternator belt and i got the bolt on the front of the alternator tight and the side one. Where else do i need to look?? vacum leak somewhere not sure.... Vacum lines hooked up. 3 off the intake one on the egr looped around. one to the bov, intake pipe, feul regulator. What em i missing? There might be one somewhere else not sure. I find it hard to read the vacum digram on the chiltons manual but thinking about giving it another go!.
Anyways
Thanks Austin

A vacuum leak doesn't usually cause a high idle. Check your idle adjustment. Also check your inter cooler piping for leaks it may be sucking in un metered air.
