My 97' GSX keeps misfiring after 3000 rpms!! Helppp!

My 97' GSX KEEPS POPPIN (misfiring) & STUTERING after 3000 rpms and its driving me crazy
I know I need a tune becuz the turbo was upgraded to a 16g and bigger FMIC

But is there anything else is could possibly be? That I can try to fix before I get her tuned???
Im changing spark plugs tomorrow

It can be a number of things. Did u install the kit? If so do a boost leak test. I'd do it anyways even if u didn't. Do you have your fuel system upgraded?

Boost leak test. Spark plugs and gap, if good might wanna check fuel pressure while stutter is occuring to see if its cutting fuel. Maybe check the ignition coil. GL

Is it doing this under hard acceleration, or just when cruising? An audible misfire means that the air/fuel mixture is being ignited after the exhaust valve has opened, possibly somewhere in the exhaust system. Check your ignition timing, as well as the valve timing. A boost leak test is always a good idea, although I don't think you're even spooled enough at 3K RPM to actually have any boost to leak.

6 bolt swap? CEL P0300? Stock 7 bolt w/ upgrade clutch or flywheel?

Or maybe you just have a boost leak and you're describing poor performance beyond 3000rpm(boost)? Can you describe your problem in further detail maybe?

20 bucks its a boost leak causing u to run hella rich when boost hits. Makes your car buck like a horse
