Hey, yesterday I took my air filter off of my car took look for the BCS, (for some reason the previous owner decided to remove the whole thing?) Anyways ever since I took off my air filter and put it back on the car has not been running right. This morning it would only max out at 7psi and wasnt really misfiring just seemed slower. I then put in a boost gauge this afternoon and now it seems to be misfiring and wont boost past 0psi. I dont think it has anything to do with the boost gauge, and the car has been running fine ever since I got it without the BCS. Just seems like something all of a sudden went wrong. I put in 4 new NGK plugs and that did nothing. Im stumped!

Are you sure you got the air filter sealed correctly..2nd question, what did you gap the plugs at..3rd question did you remove any of the ic pipes or anything just tinkering around and forgot to retighten the clamps?

1st of all did you remember to plug back in you maf? Also did you hook back up your BOV recerc pipe?

Yea you can change the filter without taking everything off, but he did also say he took it out to check for his BCS

The previous owner completely took out the air box, its just an air filter going to the MAF and the piping to the turbo. He used some type of glue to glue the air filter to the MAF and when I took off the MAF and filter I could have possibly unsealed part of where its glued. It seems to be misfiring pretty consistently now and has no power/wont boost. I didnt take off and intercooler pipes just the air filter and MAF. The plug is plugged in, the BOV recerc pipe was never off so that cant be it. After work ill see if the filter is still secure, but say its not, would it make it misfire that bad?

So the previous owner glued the filter onto the maf, instead of taking off the canister..What an idiot..

Check the plug gap too..And one more question..You did the plugs one at a time right? Cause if you didn't you could have put the wrong plug wire onto the wrong plug..

Well I know ya didn't do anything with the intake manifold...however are ya sure ya don't have a leak their? That would cause a loss in power as well as misfire probs. It's a simple check...turn ## car on an spray throttle body cleaner around were the gaskets are if ya notice a surge then ya probly got a leak...just saying...ya never know so its worth a shot. Good luck!

Gap on the plugs is right, and yes I did them one at a time. I went and bought some Bosch wires, that did nothing. Ill try first checking for boost leaks today, and if there is none should I maybe try a fuel filter? I have seen a few things about the fuel filter going bad causing some running issues.

Yea I actually took out the T where I tapped in and put it back how it was and still the same thing.

Ok, so its not misfiring. The car will not idle properly, it runs very poorly. It seems to be losing vacuum, and sputters a lot. I have looked EVERYWHERE for hoses disconnected, leaks, everything. I have not found a thing. I replaced the fuel filter, plugs, and wires. I don't know what else to do?!
