I was wondering how bad everyones pinch weld rust is and other areas of the car becuase my whell wells and the rear pinch welds are pretty rough but I can still get it on a car lift. I didn't get pictures of the rusted areas yet I will on wed becuase I have no school tommaro. I also have a area of rust on the strut mount kinda weird place for it. But anyway here is how she looks the body is bad just some scratches and dirt. I have also started to take the engine apart to rebuild it.

Now in terms of pinch welds is there any way to repair those or send it somewhere to get repaired? I will take pictures of those when I get back into school.

Yea I will have the pictures up tommaro after I get out of school, I'm just a young 17 year old trying to get this car to look and run decent.

well if the welds arnt broken id wire wheel it to get the rust out. use some type of acid etch primer and then paint. the primer is about 6 bucks at a paint store. its called acid 8 etching primer works great. and then whatever color of paint u want.

depending on what the whole underside looks like and when you get the pinch welds taken care of. I would think about either undercoating it yourself or having someone undercoat the car for you. My fiancee's GSX had a undercoating on it and my god. It looks fantastic underneath. Its started to wear away ### its a decade old so I just need to lightly sandblast and then take her in again. Plus you get a warranty too. Only wish the previous owner of my car had taken the time to undercoat it....:notgood:

Well got some pictures of the rear corners of my welds

thats my plan I bought the car for $610 must of been a winter car but I have seen worse talons before like a kid in my school had a 95 talon NA from canada with tons of rust problems but my car goes up on a lift no problem I got some hookups that can fix it.

By the way the rest of the car and pinch welds don't even have surface rust yet..

Well I got good news for myself

I thought the main bearings were spun but they were just worn down. Just one rod bearing was cooked.
