My name is Lee, got the boost bug about 4 ½ years ago when I bought a Neon SRT4. With in the first 6 months of owning the Neon I was at the drag strip, it ran a 14.5. The next year I had it down to a 13.1. After that run the clutch was toast and I replaced it with a 6 puck and I never got better then a 13.2.

Fast forward 2 years: I was helping a friend move all the junk in his front yard from the house remodel. This guy had a LT1 Camero snorting NOS, 2 boosted Miata's, 3076 Subby, Pettit (sp) racing RX7 and a little gray GSX. I don't know why but the whole day of moving junk I kept checking out the GSX.

Fast forward 2 months later: The guys posts on a local board. "All my cars for sale, make an offer" well after doing a Car fax check, I drive the GSX home. At the time my wife was killing the miles on her leased Durango. I figured she could drive the DSM for a while till her mileage was back in check. I knew it would be my toy after that. She hated the car, gave it the nick name "Stick" (5spd LOL). After better inspecting the car, there where some major issues and I got a smoking deal in a built 6 bolt, GT35r the car just sat.

I got written up by the HOA for the oil return line bleeding all over the drive way. Then they wrote me up because it was not registered. So I made room in the garage, and there it sits. I had every intention of building a nice, stout race car that I could still drive on the streets. Parts, parts, money, money, wife, wife.

Last year I traded in the Neon. I didn't need or want 2 car running TBE's catless and smog checks every year. So I parted it out and collected more parts with the part out money.

Hey looks like its been a long journey! When are you planning on dropping the engine into the car? One more question why are you sticking with the stock intake mani and the stock exhaust mani (didnt see a aftermarket one on your misc list) To me it seems like these will really hold you back from the true power that 35R can make? Are you just trying to get to the point where you can start the car up?

I am just tring to got the car on the road. I had to get the major things I needed before doing the swap, and I didnt want to be breaking tranny, turbo, engine at differient times. The exhaust manny it a XSsomething and Im sure will crack and have to be replaced, at witch time I will go exturnal WG manny. The intake porting I did myself so it only involved my time not money. Im hoping by the end of May to have it on the road.

I just recieved these pictures of Juans powder coating. i should have pictures of the ceramic coating tomorrow and installed pictures on Wednesday ...YES

Nice build,i have a PTE6152se internally gated, there's very little boost creep(surprisingly). The manifolds last about a year,i recently got a real DNP unit.
Can't wait to see it running and then hopefully you get it down the track aswell.:thumb:

Thats good to hear about the IWG, thanks. Running, tuned then track. I know I have a bit of a learning curve with AWD, the 100 or so track passes I have had where all FWD :ohdamn:. I figure to start slow and increase as I go.

Looks good no one ever said it was quick or easy making a race car!
or cheap, the only part my wifes knows cost me $$ is the tranny LOL

Couple more PC parts. This week I was able to pull the old head transfer some parts over to the new engine. Looks like I need a new knock sensor, CAS looks ok, pulled the COP and put the stock coil on and painted a few things. Anyway here are some chrome acrylic PC parts.

The PVC hose is just there to stop dust from getting in. CC will be put in after the engine goes in.

that's how most of us get in to dsm's. We don't trust other people working on our car so we do our own work, and then boom next thing you know your tearing down a 6bolt or pulling of a turbo and the saga continues. Looks good man, keep it up.

Little update. we dropped the engine yesterday, I had it all preped and it only took an hour

Great build. That motor and those parts are super clean. I just got a quick question. How are you able to post all these pics as a new member. Everytime I go to post new pics the site tells me I am over the limit.

Yeah, I did that. But, when I use the load from URL option I still get a message that I have reach the limit. I'll just have to check with the moderator. Once again, great build. I hope everything works out.
