Mustang Gt super charger vs my Dsm

This kid thinks hw is the sh#t back home where the import cars are being ruled I have the only DSM or import car in town that can actually hold its own. I just bought the car, and was wondering if I had chance when tuned to 22 psi pump gas (turbo good up to 36 with internal waste gate and race gas), do i have a chance with my supporting mods (click on name to see mods) when I was told his super charger would put him around 500 horse power? The thing is I don’t think he can gain 200 horses from his super charger is this possible and do I have a chance?

I am not too sure about sc Stangs, but. From looking at what you have going on, I am pretty sure that you will hold your own for sure. Also can he drive? I probably wouldn't do it with my mods, but I would jump at the chance to do it with yours.

You shoud at least put up a good fight. If you plan on racing him on the street, then you have a better chance simply because he is going to spin wheels out the ass if he can't drive right. As well, driver skill is always a large factor. Give it a shot; you definitely have a nice setup.

I think the majority of the parts in our cars are made in America. It was something like 60% USA and 40% Japan. I believe the original window sticker lists it.

I was just wondering because you wrote in your post that you had just baught the car.

To my personal knowledge unless you have a good amount of money saved up in the account, all those mods you listed are pretty pricey not to mention all the labour it would cost to install.

Hmmm dont get me wrong im not trying to be a dick but I spent around six grand in the last eight months since I bought my car and I dont even have internals yet , but whatever ,shure,

Ive been able to beat out a mustang cobra with a (to my knowledge) jackson supercharger , the simple fact that I have awd did him in from the get all four times. I launch inbetween 4500 to 4900 rpm giving me a less distructive launch.

If you do to (when you race this guy) you will not only take him at the launch but maintain that half a car right thruogh to the finish line.

I had a Mustang with a crap load of mods and a vortech supercharger. It made a peak of 383hp at 5350 rpm and 424lb-ft of torque at 3900 rpm at the rear wheels on a DynoJet dyno(I had to find the dyno sheet). I put BFG drag radials on it, but could only muster a 60' time of 1.9 (pretty stock suspension), and a 1/4 mile best of 11.9. Even with drag radials it would roast the rear tires. If I let at too low of an RPM it would bog down because it would hook up. I ended up selling it, but it was fast on the fly. From a stop it was ugly (cool for others to watch how violent it was). Chances are you'll take him off the line and AT LEAST run him under for the first 1/8 mile or so. He may or may not have the torque I had, or suspension. I think I would catch you.

I got a good deal on it came with every thing for around $7850. but I still am going to need the transmition rebuilt and probably by shep. Whith shipping and ripping it in and out of the car (about 8 hours) i will be looking at around a nother $2grand. every thing else runs nice i had to fly to kentucky to pick it up body in great shape. I will aslo need to tune it when i get my rebuilt transmition in the early smmer.

What year stang? What are the mods?

A supercharged GT could have anywhere from 300hp to around 600hp.

I have no idea this is a rich kid who does not know what he is doing all i have heard was that he put a super charger on his car and might have exhaust. It sounds like if i do this on the street hes going to have traction problems but this is all i know and will probably be able to know until i race him the only reason i was asking was because i did not want to promise any thing i can not achieve but

We had two supercharged SVT cobras up here and one ran 12.5s and the other ran 11.90s. your FP green is good for 10s so I would think with proper tuning and driving you should have no problem against a supercharged GT.

Dude, just looking at your mods you will spank his monkey butt. With a bad tune on my car (had to go 3/4 throttle in 3rd and 4th) and a good launch I took an 02 WS6 squeezin an 85 shot with full exuahst and gears. He caught me at the end but I was laughing cuz all i could think of is how after I get my tune on I will rip him a new one and see if i can bet him some cash.
Most rich boys just get exhaust and a charger (at least here on the west) and think they are the $#!* till they come up against some of the serious imports in the bay. If I were you I would start a car length behind him knowing my lauch will put me ahead by second gear anyways. That may piss him off tho. Thats just me knowing domestics like to spin through 1st and half of second and chirp like mad into 3rd, and being relatively decent at lauching an awd dsm.

Ok krummel45 you got a sweet ride and u bunch of well thought out mods ,, so all you are really woried about is the tranny ,, well I have the solution for you.

By march 15 20 ppl including the guys at shep racing will be buying magnus motorsports new awd tranny dog box. The gearing ratios are much more aggressive with longer and shorter gears thus maximizing all that your engine is putting out.

The retail price is going for 4700 bucks to my knowledge.

This thing is indistructible , and if all these top names are coming out of the wood works for it,,,,, then it has to be great.

Take out a lone and pick one up today , wich is what im currently trying to do myself.
