ok guys so its almost friday....here are my mods now...i got beat last time, check out the other post if u want....its titled just about the same thing

mbc set at 16psi (was set at 11 before)
evo3 manifold
upper intercooler piping
lower intercooler piping
greddy type S bov
dejon tool intake pipe
k&n air filter
hacked mas


last race i only had my intake and uicp. and my boost was running stock at 11psi. He beat me by about 1.5 cars, what do u guys think will hapen this time. He wants to throw down 100 this time....i think i will take him this time.
 
race the crx on a incline , it will be funny when you destroy him by about 14 cars. (torqueless B16).. MAKE SURE THO its the b16A (160hp)

If he has tthe b16b with a good amount of mods he can come close. the b16b runs 185 hp.. on a 1800lb body.. its quick.
 
most people have a b16a in their crx's b/c they can get an obd-0 b16a and the b16b's are obd-2 so theres a ton of wiring to make a b16b work right in a crx
 
hmmm last time i raced a mustang i didnt even see him :/ turned around and his clutch was smoking like a mofo @ the light :)

was pretty funny.

i started picking on vettes and SVTs now LOL. (cant wait till summer) FP3065 !! :)
 
Hey, I love my GT- looks good, has bottom end torque, etc. Just slow in comparison to a even well tuned stock DSM- :).

yeah there are some fast stangs out there.. there are 2 in town here that are pretty quick.. also about 900hp (an SVT and one saleen)

the S281-E is pretty quick !! it was fast stock but then he did a bunch of stuff to it...

dunno id still like to race the saleen SR :) i dont think anybody would buy it though with the $150k price tag but if i got a mustang i think id try to get that bodykit on it... that thing is so sweet.
 
My sisters Boyfriend has a 2002 Mustang GT Automatic and i race him all the time i would never loose a race to him in the Quarter but he hangs with me in 4th and 5th but he would never catch me if it wasnt for my gov at like 136. His Stang is compleatly stock and all i had was intake and exhaust that i know of. Im sure if it was a manual it would be a different story b/c i though he was going to kill me the first time we raced. Not to long after that I saw an SRT-4 and i knew that the stang and them had about the same Quarter mile time....needless to say the SRT-4 was manual and handed me my a$$ on the highway :cry: ....I swore i would never race another neon untill i was positive i wouldnt loose b/c that is the most imbarasing thing that ever happend to me...now every time im in my Trans Am i light those bastards up...but soon i will be lighting them up with the GST!!!:cool:
 
Pretty much the only thing to worry about the CRX is the driver, and the fact a CRX Si weighs 2200LBS, HF weights 1900LBS, and the DX weighs somewhere between there.

The CRX is quick because of its weight, nothing more. I honestly think the CRX might be able to give you a better match than the Mustang.

I have a friend with a CRX, his is ungodly not sure what motor swap he did but it runs 12s, not bad for a honduh.
 
Ok heres a little update people...


I never got to race the CRX yet. I was going to on valentines day but then realized i should be spending the evening with my gf and not my car (even tho i care about them just the same, heh heh). so we never got to race.

So i was driving home and the car stopped boosting. Wouldnt hit boost until about 5500rpm. A horrible whining noise was coming from the turbo. So then later that day i was driving and it started boosting a little bit again, so i got on it and hit full boost at like 3500rpm, shifted into third and let off the gas....BAM! HUGE puff of white smoke comes out of the exhaust pipe, so I know my turbo is fried out of its mind. It has gotten to the point where it will hardly hold boost at all.

So I just bought a ported evo3 16g and 550cc injectors, and a apexi safc2, and a walboro255 pump. I will be putting on my ported evo3 manifold at the same time i do all this stuff.

So I'm not going to say anything to the kid with the CRX, I'll just let him think I have the same setup as i did against the mustang. Now I know I will smoke him. So i raised the price of the race to $300 so It should be a couple weeks before we get to race because I have to wait for the stuff to come in and then install it all.

So ya, got a whole new setup coming and cant wait to get this baby on the road again. Lemme know what you all think

You sound like me man. I was going to go with a 20g set up but my turbo's F'd up(aka my supercharger) so I'm just waiting on my tax returns to get my evoIII. Just make sure you get it tuned.
