alright guys...the time is here...i told this kid in the M3 that his day was coming when i handed his ass to him and i think its time...

all my mods are in my signature, its pretty much all of stage 1 and stage 2 mods and i just got my car back from apex

his car is a 2003 bmw m3 with a full exhaust, intake, and a chip...people are saying his car is scary fast...but i know mine is also pretty scary fast...let me know what u think...i think i will walk away with this race but just trying to get some confidence

Also, throw on a real man's turbo. If you dropped all that money going to a built 6-bolt, why not take advantage of it and stop wasting time with the 16g? A large turbo would instantly add, like, +75hp with your mods. Then I'd be confident that you'd walk all over him. As it stands, you'll probably take him from a stop.

Also, that BMW is balanced like nothing else, and is refined beyond anything a DSM could ever fantasize about. Even if you beat him by 50 car lengths, I'd give up my DSM for one ride in that M3 through an autocross.

Well the M3 is slower in the US market, I think it mainly depends on what this chip has done to the car. I would NOT expect to walk this guy even with your mods, but I would think the TSi AWD would have him from a stop. I would say maybe 1 or 2 car length victory..it'll be close because the DSM top-ends suck.

I hate when people post stupid stuff like this. If you WANT TO FIND OUT which car will win WITHOUT actually racing, just go get a dyno run logged. Check out how much power your car is making. Then using how much your car weighs, you can tell how fast you can accelerate (dont bother calculating traction) and find out how much his car makes stock, and what mods he has done to it (look up on the net how much those mods increase power from stock) then you will know how fast his car can accelerate (again don't bother with traction) given you know the M3 curb weight. If the acceleration is close, then you probably will win because in real life RWD sucks ass and doesn't have as much traction as AWD. If your really good at physics then you can actually even calculate the traction INTO the equation! Stop bench racing and start racing with a calculator instead =)

Just keep in mind if you want an accurate prediction you have to model the fact power (and torque) through an engine RPM range is not constant, and each car's gear ratios have to be considered. (power is a function dependent on engine RPM which is transmitted through several gear ratios) If your not good at mathematics or physics (and your too lazy to learn) then there is only one other option, RACE.
