ok guys so its almost friday....here are my mods now...i got beat last time, check out the other post if u want....its titled just about the same thing

mbc set at 16psi (was set at 11 before)
evo3 manifold
upper intercooler piping
lower intercooler piping
greddy type S bov
dejon tool intake pipe
k&n air filter
hacked mas

last race i only had my intake and uicp. and my boost was running stock at 11psi. He beat me by about 1.5 cars, what do u guys think will hapen this time. He wants to throw down 100 this time....i think i will take him this time.

I don't see any reason that you shouldn't win ohter than the fact that you night need to work or your driving. I raced a 92 Mustang with my laser (check profile for mods) and was able to beat him.

unless your performance or car isn't up to par and your driving skillz don't suck you sould win

the 97 gst in my sig(red one) spanked on a 95gt(5.0) but it was a manual and the gst was stock.

Almost no way you can loose. I almost don't see how you lost last time. if you get a good launch there is almost no way he can win if you guys are only going a quarter mile.

the 99+ Mustang Gt is one fast car. 260hp.

With the 1.5 car loss thing, i think the Mustang driver might of screwd up a little bit at the launch.

As for this guy winning this time, he definately should. If you get a good launch my guess would be a win by atleast a car

You should win, easily.

Yet again aparently a 13.9-14.0 GT stock is slow

With the mods he has now he should win, but the race before he deserved the loss.

1999 Mustang GT Convertible (Auto)
HP: 260 @ 5250 RPM
Torque : 300 @ 4000 RPM
0-60 (sec): 6.2
1/4 Mile (sec/mph): 14.6/95.4
Thats stock times for an auto GT Convertable.

1999 Ford Mustang GT with manual transmission:
0-60 5.5 sec
1/4 mile 14.0 sec @ 100.2 mph

If you were only running 11lbs then I could honestly believe you lost. Up the boost to 16lbs and you should be able to run him without little or no problem at all.

Goodluck.

(This better not turn into a mustang bashing thread)

I had 4 people in my car and raced a 01' Mustang GT with an exhaust upgrade and beat him by atleast 4 or 5 car links by the end of third gear and was still pulling away from him.. also beat a cobra at the local track about a month ago..

Your just a "Tad" bit more modified than his 2g tho. Plus keep in mind hes still on the t-2-small.

I got a 92 mustang 5.0 with a really bad 2nd gear grind pushing 15psi didn't kill him but still won. So you should beat him this time. let us know what happens

At my school we have a dyno. there was a like 96 body style mustang cobra. 5 speed stock. dynoed at an amazing 175 rwhp!!! ha ha ha. What a piece of shit. I beat those all the time too. You have this one in the bag. Tell him you don't wanna waste your time on 100 dollar shit LOL. Make it like 300. ha ha ha just kidding he might get scurred. Good luck man.:thumb:

You have much to learn grasshopper. If what you say is in fact true then there was something seriously wrong with either the dyno or the Stang. A 96 Cobra is a high 13sec car that will put down around 280 to the wheels.

You sure it wasn't a civic with cobra badges on it?A Cobra dynoing at 175 HP LOL maybe on 3 cylinders:rolleyes:

bench racing gets old quick. maybe if you're 16 and think its cool to think and plot out how you could theoretically race and beat cars. so many factors involved.

And also, the same thing with "guess my hp" threads. And then the original poster gets mad when someone like lando or a mod posts a smartarse remark like 74748.383474727 for a guess.

There are some things you just cant honestly guess. Or if you could, it would be pretty vague anyways.

I don't understand your issues with "bench racing".

Issues:
1. It's an internet ####-size contest.
2. It serves NO purpose.
3. Too many variables involved for even an educated guess.
4. It is in no way, shape, or form a "tech" question.
5. There are 58 million similar posts a day, and it gets old QUICKLY.

I could go on, if you wish.

I could come on here all day and say "I have a 20g and supporting mods, I'll run in the 11s", but what happens when I miss a shift, or am out of tune?

It does get old.

It isn't a tech question

It serves very little purpose

It is often a dick size contest

But if you have a 20g and supporting mods odds are I can't take you in my v6 stang. Sure you could spin your tires all the way through three gears and end up doing a 23 sec quarter mile but that doesn't in any way detract from the fact that the car is capable of doing a low 12. And many of the people asking these hypotheticals are putting up money on the races. It's like counting cards, the more you know about the situation the better you can guess your odds.

i have a 1g...not a 2g

and the 99+ mustangs are fast as hell stock. The 93-98 are the slowest damn cars in the world. I have no problems with beating them. So dont go bragging about how you beat them

I think i should get this win easily, but i still need to hook up my damn boost gauge, haha. Anyways, hopefully tomorrow night I have my mbc set up and I can take care of him pretty easily. I might cut my cat too....I heard that gives you a sweet amount of HP.
