I have a 97 GST currently MT. It WAS an auto and HAS currently the full auto harness and TCU.

Donor is a 95 GSX AUTO. Will my harness work? Will i be able to use my 97 TCU?
Remember, the 97 WAS an auto and still has everything hooked up, aside from the auto shit for the harness, the TCU is still connected.

Can't wait to start this project but this is one answer I can not find anywhere.
Its rare to go MT to AT, even more rare FWD MT to AWD AT.
Thanks y'all:cool:

So cutting out the middleman, it's basically going from FWD auto to AWD auto. If that's the case, I believe you might have some issues as the AWD and FWD have slightly different ratios and will force the tranny into limp mode as the sensors will feed the TCU different readings than what is programmed to see.

Then i should just use the awd auto tcu?

Just found out what you were talking about on dsmtalk. You are correct. I will have to use the donor cars tcu. Thank god i have a complete donor car. I would have freaked out if i fired it up and it was in limp mode dude.
