I have an issue where my auto seems to be slipping alot more than it should. I have never driven or rode in an auto dsm, nor in a awd auto, or awd general.

The car seems to be very sluggish off the line, either just gas or brake boosting. Its almost faster with just the gas too.

During cruising situations, ~70-80mph, the car does not really want to go into OD, and when it does it will come out of it the sec I drop the throttle, or give it over 40%TPS throttle. My Sentra B15, does not do anything like this. Is this normal?

I was planning on replacing all the clutch packs on the trans Front and End clutches. Are there any other clutches that wear out and need to be replaced? Also, what are the best ones to get?

Is there a better filter than others? Wix, OEM, etc?

Last but not least how can you measure the line pressure to make sure its in spec?

Thanks!!
Chris

Sounds like you need to do the end clutches if it's not 3-4 shifting too well. Do the filter too and see how it is.

The auto is sluggish off the line compared to a manual, and even worse with a larger turbo, you can combat this with a higher stall converter. Also do the shift kit because it will cause less wear on the clutches because of the quicker shifts, and it makes the car feel more alive. Also look into a larger trans cooler.

It will slip horribly when it's cold, warm. Until it's fully hot, it's a bi*** to drive.

Also what are the best bang for the buck clutches?

start out easy... Pull some quality ATF in there. Low fluid/crap fluid are the same symtoms of crapped out endclutchs

I have OEM Mitsu fluid and Black LubeGard in there.
