OK i've got a 95 tsi fwd 5spd thats kind of rough. found a 95 eclipse rs shell in great shape, full interior little to no rust for $300.00. would it be worth the time and effort to do this swap. i know new mounts would have to be installed, but other than that what else would have to do? i searched but nothing on doing a 4g63t motor and trans swap to a n/a body. let me know what you think.

hey man, im doing something similar, because the transmition are on opposite sides, then normally it wouldnt work, but if you swap out the entire cradle, it should fit right in with some minor fabrication

Go to ASOG.net they have done the 4g63 (even a awd sawp into an avenger) into the 420a's or the 2.5 v6 they use the same mounts. But yes you need the whole cradle wire harness wount be easy I would say take the good parts off the 300$ car and put them on yours much much easier.

That would be a LOT of work, and to do it right and not half-ass things it would be even more work... I would just paint and do body work to your current car.
