Well I'm just about done with the whip and I need some fabrication help. Let me fill everyone in. I have a 92 Talon awd and took the six bolt out and put in a built 7 bolt. I know your all saying that was a crazy move. Anyway the front motor mount does not match up at all. :hmm: The mount on the motor is about a foot to the right from the mount on the car. I could use some help here so I can take it in and get it tuned for the road. She is ready to pound on some hondas! :hellyeah: Thank you all for your time.

Do you have an auto or manual trans? On a six bolt the mount brackets are on the block and on a seven bolt they are on the transmission. So you probably need the 7 bolt front mount bracket, for which ever trans you have. Hope this helps

7-bolt equipped 2G cars had the front roll stop mounted to the transmission casing, whereas 6-bolt equipped 1G cars had it bolted to the engine block.

Your best two options are as follows:

- Pick up some tubing and start fabricating a one-off custom front mount. I'd start by redoing the entire front crossmember and simply moving the roll stop portion over to the left.

- OR, have a solid piece of aluminum pressed into the rear roll stop, and completely eliminate the front one.

It's a manual trans and I think I will have to do a one off fab on this. I would like to know if anyone has done this already and if so do they have a photo record of the build. this would really cut down on my time. Otherwise i will have to flatbed it up to atlanta to get this done. Thanks for any and all the help.
