Yesterday I got done putting new rings and rod bearings in my turboed 420a. Today I took it for a drive and everything seems to be going pretty good. I drove it close to 50 miles. The car seems to have a lot more power! My question is how many miles do you think I have to go before you think the motor is broke in so that I can run full boost pressure which will be 8 psi.

One thing I did notice is oil pressure is just a little lower then before is this normal intell full break in?

It should be fine by now. When my car was finnished we took it to the dyno with 0 miles on the motor set boost at 13 psi and did a few pulls set the idle and main fuel curve then continued to tune on pump gas up to 20 psi and then did a race gas tune at 33 psi. The biggest issue is making sure the rings seat. If you dont think its broke in give it a compression test and if its even across the board shes good to go! :thumb:

Yea, the first 20 miles are critical to ring seating. If it's not done properly in that time period then it never will.

If your rings don't seat properly, then you'll have blowby and a lack of power.
