More problems than I started with.

Hey guys I need some help. I recently took off my throttle body to replace the seals that were leaking. While it was apart I also replaced the knock sensor, pcv valve and put one of these http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/var...ant%5Fid=64175 check valves in between the pcv and the IM. When I put it back together I checked for boost leaks which I had none. It started fine but after it warmed up the idle never dropped down to normal. It stayed around 1000 rpms, also when I pumped the brakes the car would act like it was going to die. It never did the rpms would just drop down low. After I drove it around, it ran fine most of the time. There was one time I stumbled real bad and just wouldn't go. It only did this once though. When I pulled back in the drive way the rpms stayed at 1500 and wouldn't drop. Also it was leaking oil around the oil cap which it never did before. I ran fine before I took it apart. Please help. I have not delt with this problem yet, but I guess from the threads I have seen, it happens.
