More porting Questions

Hey there again. Just wondering on the o2 sensor housing, is it best to bell port the housing on the bottom going to the down pipe? The guy on the vfaq page did this and had to use a 2.5" ford exhaust gasket. Just wondering, I have mine matched to the factory gasket and was wondering if I should go more? Also, when porting the turbo and o2 sensor housing, do i port the compressor passage along with the wastegate, gasket matching them? Thanks

Also, how much do I open the divider on the o2 sensor housing? On the vfaq page it shows alot for the 1g, do I make it a rounder opening instead of narrow, or do I just take the lip down flush?? thanks

First off, what kind of downpipe are you intending to run? If you are going to run the stock one for a long time, I would only go as far as the stock DP till you get an upgraded DP then port it again to match. Exhaust systems are peak performers when all the connections are smooth.

As far as the side that butts up against your turbo you have some options. I personally bought an EVO gasket and ported the exhaust side of my turbo and the inlets on my 2g O2 housing to match. I ported the wastegate runner on the O2 housing as much as I could and also did a fair amount to the primary runner. I did remove a piece of the divider on the side that connects to the DP so that the wastegate runner was approximately the same diameter at the inlet and outlet, but I left the outlet pretty round.
