Mitsubishi/FP turbo?

There are a lot of people running this turbo. The newest green is rated for over 500 HP i would expect this turbo to be close to the same rating. The newer green comes with a billet compressor wheel. This is an older green but i like to make turbos like this in my shop.

Older Green = T04E50 compressor; 48 lb/min peak, or around 480hp if conditions are perfect. A more believable number for most folks would be 400-450whp on pump fuel. Not as aggressive torque-wise as a 16G or 20G, but it does make horsepower easier.

I need to order a new gasket for this turbo, to the manifold. I measured the hole in the red circle in the pic below, and it is a 6cm diameter hole. But it seems like only smaller turbos use a 6cm gasket. So my question is, do I order a 6cm or 7cm gasket? Not sure if I am missing something here. Is 6cm normal for this turbo? I guess i'm not sure if I measure the exhaust passage or do I measure the mounting bolts from bolt center to bolt center on the flange?

The 6cm gasket is $3.09
The 7cm gasket is $20.00

i have the same excat turbo i bought it off someone on this forums he told me it was a 20g with a fp green compressor housing and its done by a company called turbotrix accordding to him

That was called a TurboTrix "Street/Strip" and was, if I remember correctly, an FP green with a 20G turbine. I had one of those. I got it from Jeff at TurboTrix back before they moved and merged with BM Tranny

You need a 7cm gasket. You're not measuring the size of the hole itself, the term "6cm" and "7cm" is referring to the volumetric efficiency of the housing in cm2.

The 6cm gasket will have a 52mm hole, the 7cm gasket will have a 60mm hole...which just happens to be 6cm across.

Just Curious anyone else running this turbo? What kind of track times/hp numbers did you get?

Back in 2003, my best pass on this turbo was an 11.50@119 on straight 93 octane. Stock 160k mile motor, HKS 272's, stock ECU w/TMO race mods, AFC, 660's. That's it for big mods. I put an 8cm housing on the car and went 123mph on 93 octane, but didn't ET worth a shit.

Thanks Justin, I wasn't sure how that worked, what to measure and what not.
