So my car idles fine but when you drive it misses and bucks around even pops while coasting down a hill just started doing this tryed swaping coils checked boost leaks nothing still same new wires and plugs thinking maybe maf it is converted to gm maf so really not sure what could be maybe ecu my cel light is always on cause of coolent sensor and i do have a leak between my turbo and header but dont think thats it had one there before and didnt run like this somebody please help getting real tired of this car.

Check your coilpack igniter. My dads laser rs awd was acting the same. It turned out that the igniter was getting heatsoaked after a little bit of driving and didnt fire the coils under a load. It could be a fuel filter to.

I did change the coolent sensor but it gets wrong voltage from wires another reason thinking ecu and it does this missing cold or hot maybe not as bad hot.

Forgot to add fuel filter was just changed not long ago tonite I swapped my maf with another one had around and the car is alot better but still not right when boosting can feel it wanting to go but holding back.

You know you have a leak between the turbo and manifold , and your asking why your car runs like ass ? :aha:

Just because there has been a leak there before , doesn't mean the car will react the exact same way if it happens again.

You say your not getting correct voltage from the wires at the temp sensor ,
Did you check continuity ?

The ecu is a quick check , might as well do it if you bored.

Was your GM MAF/T wired correctly ?

Yea the maf is wired right worked fine for years and yea checked continuity thats how i know its getting wrong volts and the leak i have is real little and has been like that and car ran fine .

Here's some useful info from a different thread with a member asking if he could run without a gasket between manifold and turbo.

You can "get away with it" for a couple of days but personally I wouldn't drive it much like that. Its an exhaust leak prior to the o2 sensor, so therefore you're not going to get good o2 readings which will affect AF mixture. Also you may not be able to spool the turbo as much as some exhaust gas will escape where the gasket used to be.

I would replace it as soon as possible.

Like I said , just because it's ran fine before - don't automatically assume it's going to run the same as before.

No I know and am gonna fix it tommorow found my major problem today I did a wire tuck to this car so need a longer wire to ground the timing connector and it was grounded by accident.
