I was timing my car today... For about the 5-6 time. I was playing around after timing and hooking it up to the other cyls and noticed that cyls 2 and 4 seem to fire when they want to... They'll have a burst of fires than stop for half a second or so and fire again. My main question in asking this was is it a coil problem or a plug+wire problem? Or the transistor. It's always something with these dang cars. About to post her on the local CL

Edit: it may be 2 and 3 which would almost definitely be a coil right?

try something simple like swapping the good wires to the ones that are malfunctioning. randomness sounds like broken wires.

I'm hoping that's the case. I'm really getting tired of my car on a serious note. It's always been something and I've only had it for about a month. I think I'm burning something also but not sure...
