car misfiring and running on 2 cylinders help ###!!!!

i have tried everything to fix my car and nothing has worked it has been at my dads shop for about 2 weeks and they have replaced everything imaganable anybody have any ideas. engine was rebuilt because it blew up. now it misfires and runs on two cylinders. runs fine for about 5 mins then goes straight to running on 2 cylinders. ### help.

One coil or power transistor is probably failing under heat. Try heating them with hair dryer after cold starting to see which.

I don't think I have an answer for you, but don't feel so bad. I get to run on 2 cylinders day in and day out till it finally breaks down,

yea i already have tryed two computers

If its only on two cylinders then most likely its one of the coilpacks. My car had no spark on any cylinder and it was the power transistor.

I did once have a Fuel injector that would stop firing when my car got hot... to find it, i started the car and pulled each plug wire and found that pulling the plug on CYL 1 had no effect on the vehicle performance.... tested the plug and it was fine, replaced the injector and worked like a charm....

maybe thats something you can try, possibly isolate a cylinder or 2 that's misbehaving...

although it is more probable that it's ignition related....esp. if it's 2 and 3, or 1 and 4

the problem is is that something is kicking in into lent mode but we dont know what any ideas?

Is it throwing any codes by chance? I still second the coil/transistor pack notion though, I'd just grab a different one of each and test it quick.

no codes we already know it is in limp mode and we think we might have found the problem a wire by the firewall when wiggled shuts the car off and when the wire is wiggled again it turns back on so the parts will be here by monday and im hoping it works because i want to drive my damn car .

my faja just informed me that it is something do with the computer and it is shuting the crankcase sensor and something else off. so hopefully the get it fixed soon...
