Guys and gals my talon seems to be running on 2 cylinders. The head has a few thousand miles on it since I rebuilt it. Bottom end is stock. So I was driving one evening the cars gauges went haywire, rpms dropped, the car made a lean pop out the exhaust and it died. So here I am the car will run on two cylinders. If I put new plugs in it will change them black in a few seconds of idle. I tested the spark and it is very weak out of the coil pack. The car is getting fuel, and my compression is around 130psi on each cylinder dry. I've replaced many sensors on the car, I'm lost on this one. Please help. BTW car is 95' talon tsi fwd

The ecu could be bad a ptu could be bad or even the coolant temp sensor, and check the coil pack, there could be a coil that isn't good.

What is the ptu? Yeah I have a new ecu that didn't fix it and I just finished testing the coil pack the way Haynes manual says. The secondary side passed but the primary side doesn't. Has an open apparently

Ok is that the unit bolted on the intake manifold? Because I bought a new one of those also. And ok. I also have a coil on plug set up would that work with stock setup?

I currently am using the stock coil pack and wires. But I have a coil on plug setup I bought and didn't know if I can plug in and go or if it needs a tune to run that or something.
