Hello

I have a 90 Talon TSI with pretty much everything stock except for an evo3 16g, K&N filter, Cat Eliminator, Airbox Mod.

Yesterday I ordered:

Evo3 O2 Housing
3" Down-pipe
Megan GT Muffler 3" inlet
Walbro 255 HP Pump
Aeromotive Knock off AFPR
Hallman Manual Boost Controller
SAFCII
EVO IX 560cc Injectors
Punishment Racing Short Route FMIC

I think thats it but i may be forgetting something, and i have a laptop with TMO and EVOScan and MMCD on Palm Emulator already (had to try them all!). The only thing i don't have yet is a WB O2, but i think i can get away with the logger for now.

First Question is, how much boost would you run to start tuning the SAFC?

Secondly, Will i have to worry about creep with 3" all the way out since i have the EVO3 O2 Housing? Should i port the housing? Should i port the exhaust side of the turbo?

Third, i am going to toss all this stuff in all at one time, and i have all the tools etc. to do the job, but im sure someone can give me a quick list of do's and don'ts / tips with some of these parts. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

sounds like i nice build man. wish you would have bought an aeromotive instead of a knock off though. i had he knock off and mine failed. bought an aeromotive and now no problems.
also i would port the hot side of the turbo and the o2. will def help eliminate boost creep.
and that back stud on the 02 housing isnt going to be much fun to get off LOL.
before my new motor i had a similar set up to yours. and i ran 16 pounds so i would tune on 14-16 pounds.(i had 650's and an safc neo)
you should be ok with just using the logger but i found when i bought my WB o2 that it saved me a lot of headaches and was much more convienent. just my .02
good luck with the build:thumb:

Sounds like you know what your doing. I did everything your are doing to my 91 TSI but i also got a 2nd gen MAF and wired the 1g wire harness to the 2g plug and that is a great addition to the fuel upgrades, makes one hell of a combo. i tuned my car between 14-18psi on the 14b so with the 16g i would go around there and higher. Hope this helped some what.:hellyeah:

The o2 housing being ported would just make creep worse. You need to port the turbo housing so air has a easier path to the wastegate flapper. You port where the air comes in and leave a nice lip so the air gets catched and pushed through that wastegate.

Also get a wbo2 ASAP. I said the same thing and I didnt have one. I ended up building a new head from a burnt valve.

So even if your watching Knock, Timing and O2 Voltage, you can still fry stuff? Im sure you know what your talking about but i always thought if you have 0 knock & 15 - 18 degrees your in the clear?
