Might need a new engine

Hey guys not exactly sure if this is the right section to post this in, so mods feel free to move it if needed.

Well the car is at the mechanic right now and there is a possibility that I might need a new engine. Right now I have the 420a, I was wondering what engine should I go with? Another 420a, a 4g63, or something else.... I am eventually planning on turboing but nor right away, and price is very important... I dont have a ton of money to spend on this

You should stick with the 420a because the 4g63 swap is very pricy. Being that you are going to have the motor out, and you are gonna add boost later down the road, you are gonna want to throw some forged pistons 9.0-1 compression or lower and eagle rods in it now, also use all arp fasteners and a metal head gasket. It will run just fine na, than when you add your turbo system it will be able to handle the boost.

ok if it ends up i need a new engine ill look into changing out the pistons and rods and such... any idea how much another 420a will cost?
