Methanol Injection - Failed Instant Tubing Fitting

I've had many fitting fail as well. I believe it is due to using 100% meth. I have replaced alot of instant fittings over the last 2 years. Even had a fire once. Seems if I attach the instant fitting once and don't ever unattach it I don't have as many issues. Fittings that I've repeatedly taken on and off leak every time. Another friend of mind runs 50/50 as devilsown suggests. They have never had an issue with there fittings. None of my cars perform on 50/50 like they do on 100%.

I've always run braided line on my other car and haven't had a single leak in over 3 years.

I was thiking of running braided line to a distrobution block, and then through SS brakeline with flared fittings. Maybe even use the brake line residule valves for check valves.

I believe DO offers a SS line kit with flared fittings, I'd recommend this, especially on the new 250psi pumps if you're pushing 100% Meth.

My system did the same thing, I replaced what'
s under the hood with better tubing from a local hydraulic shop anjd haven't had any issues since,, good to bring this to peoples attention though . Good job!

I'm having this same problem on my AEM kit. It's leaking where the tube goes into the nozzle holder. What can I do besides buying a new nozzle/injector holder?

I use tons of push lock fittings for pneumatic clutch and shift operation on motorcycles and i will almost bet that it's not the fitting but the thin line from the meth kit. Mine was the same way (Devils own brand) but when i replaced the line with something i had that was thicker walled tubing from the hydraulic/pneumatic store all the leaks stopped, hell my fitins wouldn't even hold onto the thin black line included in my kit.

From what I'm told methanol makes the 0-rings swell. If you never disconnect the lines they won't leak. Once you disconnect the line with a swollen O-ring and try to reinsert the line it damages the o-ring and leaks. I've disassembled several fittings and found this to be true on all of mine. I always used 100% methanol. On that same note I never had a leak as long as I did not disconnect the lines.

A 50/50 mix or less doesn't seem to make the o-rings swell. I've been spraying windshield water fluid mix (20% meth) and the fittings will disconnect and reconnect without any issues. If your running a flammable meth mixture push-locks are not a good idea IMO.

I haven't even ran my setup yet so I'm sure that's not the problem.
