Got a bit of a dilemma here as anyone who will have read my previous thread about not being able to find methanol can see. Well, a few searches on Yahoo Auctions Japan has come up with a couple of potential solutions so I want to hear what you experienced guys think.

I think it's possible for me to get hold of HEET through an online retailer, but it would cost about $7/litre ($27 a gallon). Otherwise I could get 26% methanol in WWF for $1.55/litre ($5.90 a gallon) or 75% ethanol for $2.55/litre ($9.70 a gallon). Is the extra worth paying for 75% meth or should I just go for the lower priced and lower octaned 26% meth washer fluid?

IMO pure meth is where it's at, my car seems to do best on 80% meth 20% water, and that's good for all around hard boosting/driving..pure meth was however best at cooling the intake charge adn keeping detonation at bay, but it seems like water makes it a bit more consistant from my tests with them.

HEET's a no-goer in the end, so if I wanted pure meth or as close as, I'd be paying $32/gallon, and only being able to purchase 1/2 a gallon every 10 days to 2 weeks.

Really? I thought a 100% methanol content was preferable in general, but the reason some people advised a 50/50 mix was because of safety (especially if the meth is being stored in the washer bottle tank in the engine bay.
