megasquirt2/extra - 2Gb CAS

Anyone know if the stock 2Gb CAS can be used as tach input for ms2/extra? I don't want to have to install a 1G CAS and this single question is halting my progress. As always, any help is appreciated.

Matt Cramer from diyautotune.com has informed me that "the 2g CASs appear to work the same as 1Gs." I'm working out the PCB mods that are needed for a hall effect CAS with MS2/extra. As soon as I get everything running right I plan on posting a write-up on how to install MS2/extra on a 2g (the current one in the tech article section is outdated and incomplete).

please read page 5 post #65 for injector wiring.

the above works best with the alternating injector setup.
