I was trying to find local 420a/turbo megasquirt users to get some help with my MS2/Extra 3.2.1 fuel management. Seems a lot of people have trouble with the initial set up of MEgasquirt. I realize now that there's no short cut and not a lot people that set up and tune these systems. It will take lots of time and patience and really really reading the manuals that came with the system. I'm definitely learning a lot and have a better understanding of how the MS2 works. I was wondering if anybody is using a similar set up as mine ¿what numbers do you have on your warm up enrichment, and after start enrichment tables? I currently run:
420A low compression motor 8:5.1
Forged pistons/rods/crower cams/M&W ignition/seimens deka 630cc injectors/wideband AEM/16g turbo set at 15psi/93 pump gas.
I'm trying to just get it to idle and from there tuning will be simple. I run megasquirt on my ae86 and its great. I bought it with MS already though and didnt have anything to do with the setup or tuning. My buddy Bstrddsm has tuned it since with no problem, its just getting it to idle thats the hard part. Once I can
get my car tuned and fully understand the MS2 I plan on helping out others as
much as I can. By the way I did try to find answers prior to posting this thread and also went to the Megasquirt repository to find fuel and ignition maps. I called symtec labs and emailed back and forth with them (those guys are awesome). Now I just need a little more specific help. I'm definitely getting there, I thank you all in advance for taking the time to help me out.

however I am pretty persistent and don't give up. I found a great source for MS tuning. They can even tune remotely. That's right, they don't even have to be near your car to tune it. If you're interested give them a holler or wait a couple weeks so I can tell you about my experience with them. The place is ASP in Illinois. Their website is Aspturbo.com if you call them up ask for erick and tell him Joe Murcia referred you. I know it's probably too soon to be recommending so I suggest I try them out and let you know what's up. So far I'm really impressed with their quick replies and interest. Some shops act like they're too cool for a turbo 420a ut these guys so far are taking me serious. I'm trying out their remote services but I'm also thinking about flying erick down here to dyno tune my car and teach my buddy about MS, he's already a great tuner with MS but doesn't know how to set up the initial map. I wouldn't know but I guess there's a difference between all the different tuning systems and some are easier than others. Anyway I will keep everyone posted.
very nicely at 1100 rpm i might add. Doing a second session tonight 3-20-12 to smooth it out more. Will possibly do some street tuning. So far very impressed with Erick at ASP-Turbo and can so far say i highly recommend him. The remote tuning is a genius idea also. As long as your setup is good and you have everything ready it goes by very smoothly. I should have another report by tomorrow and final numbers on my Dyno tune by this weekend. peace
