1G Megan dp, test pipe and srs catback is no fit wth

I bolted everything up and test pipe is 16 inches and the gap between the dp and catback is 21 inches... wth.

Theae are supposed to bolt right up

Odd vecause everyone said direct bolt on.. now i wasted money on a test pipe and have to fab something. Hope exhaust shop has couple 3 inch flanges
 
Im running a similar setup to yours. You probably don't want to hear this, but I ended up extending my catback to meet up with the downpipe. Seemed like an easier simpler option than a test pipe and adapters to make it fit. If I recall correctly I had to extend mine 22". Oh, and I could be wrong but I think the test pipe is 16" to allow room for an adapter for the 3" test pipe to the 2.75" catback.

Sounds about right but if rather make a 22 inch insert with flanges rather than hack the pipes
 
Cut off the flange on both the down pipe and cat back. Buy a piece of 3in. SS pipe. Cut to size and use band clamps like pictured below:

Do you use exhaust cement with those bands and does it seal good with no leaks?

Because the way I've been doing it is to cut the pipe and cement both sides real good and then slide over a tight fitting pipe from auto parts store and tighten down with U-bolt clamps. I've had some of those repairs go for years without problems but the key is cementing it real good because U-bolt clamps alone allows leakage.

Actually, even if I had a very small hole in pipe I just completely cut the pipe and repair as described since tapes or wraps even with cement never seem to hold for me.

i ended up just welding on 6inches of pipe to the test pipe. All good now but they should warn that it is not a direct bolt on... according to extreme psi, if you order the megan catback it ends up being full bolt on with the test pipe and DP
