megan coilovers

Ok so I found Megan coilovers on Craigslist and the guys said they were on a gs model, will they work on my rs? Also are they a good setup? How can I tell they are true Megan coilovers? Thanks for your help in advance.

Gs and rs are basically the same models with different trim..If the engine and trannies are the same, they will work just fine..Should be the same spring rates..

It should clearly say Megan on the coilover itself. They should fit no problem.

There are two types the street series and the regular racing.
I have the Street series and they are very Good for street use, great response, smooth and stiff ride at the same time. Good for the price.
The suspension on 2g's should all be the same no matter if it is Rs,Gs, Gs-t, GSX,...
The only thing that changes is the spring rates on AWD. But in aftermarket it doesn't matter.

I've had Megans w/pillowball tops for 3 years now. DD-about 50 milies/day 4 days/wk with weekend road race 2days/month for 3-4 months/year.

Very stiff, but slot car performance.

Yes you can lower the car all you want. Make sure that they come with all the hardware included.

What hardware will I need they are off Craigslist for extremely cheap so some parts might be missing but what hardware should be there sorry for the noob questions

The black things in he bottom are needed for sure if you want to lower the car.

Also make sure they still have the pillow ball, that way you can adjust the ride from hard to soft.

No those are not Coliovers, The pic you posted is of megan racing lowering springs on stock struts, not worth more than 100$ IMO

Those are not Megan coilovers. Like Josh97eclipse said, they look to simply be a set of springs with stock struts.

100 bucks. You can buy the springs brand new for only like $120 for a 1G.
