First off, Manual Boost Controllers are acronymized "MBC", not "MCB".

Second, the T part is meant to go in between an existing vacuum line, such as the BOV line. For many reasons, however, our cars are not meant to be teed there for a boost source for an MBC. In our cars' case, a standard ball and spring MBC is the best route to go, such as a Hallman MBC, TurboXS, JoeP. etc.

Yeah, unfortunately. There are quite a few threads about this particular style of MBC. It's a knock-off of the Turbosmart MBC, and I have yet to see one person get it to work correctly on our cars. There may be some cars out there with the appropriate vacuum line setup for it to work correctly without affecting other parts of the car, but I don't know of them off-hand. MBC's really aren't car-specific. You may wish to see about selling it to someone, or returning it to the vendor.

Almost everyone running a TurboXS High-Performance MBC or a Hallman MBC will recommend either of those, and installation of them is much easier and cleaner than the one you purchased.

If it's a functional MBC, then it should work. I'm not sure how that particular one functions, there are two types, bleed and ball and spring. A bleed just lets off a set amount of pressure off into the atmosphere before it gets to the WG can. The WG can will always open at 10 or 11psi, if you bleed off 5, you get 15 or 16. A ball and spring blocks incoming boost until it hits a set boost level, then it will open and the boost will be greater than what is required to open the WG can, regulate the boost down, and the ball shuts off, back and forth, regulating boost. Unfortunately if it's a bleed type, it will bleed off metered air (basically a small boost leak).

A little test you can do is to open it all the way, then blow into the part with the arrow while screwing it down. If you wind up not being able to blow into it, it's ball and spring, if you can blow more and more into it, then it's likely a bleed type. You could probably get a bleed type to work well if you recirculated it back into the intake track. Big pain in the ass though.

Here are some diagrams and explanations about how to setup both types
DDG- Homemade boost control
I probably wouldn't screw around with that. Go to your local grainger and get the $10 pop off valve. So easy to make, and when you make it, you'll know how to set it up :D
Welcome!

It's nearly the same thing as the turboXS or whatever else. Steel ball vs. plastic ball or something like that, not worth the extra $$ if you ask me. Well, the $75 one has in cabin boost control, which is nice, but still not worth it as far as I'm concerned.

i know for a fact its a ball and spring...i looked at your link, kinda confusing, but i think i got it...im wondering if anyone is using this type of MBC...
