HERE, DAMMIT!

ok n00b question here.. i got my MBC all hooked up fine (dejon tool.. sweet!) i'm just wondering what to do with the stock boost solenoid hoses.. i took the top one completely off (this is the one that was going to my intake pipe.. then capped that nipple on the pipe) .. the one on the bottom, that tees off and goes to both the wastegate and the turbo housing, is still there. i just bent it backwards and stuck it in the bracket that the top hose was at.. its still connected to the solenoid though. is this alright? can i leave it on there like that will it screw anything up?

Then where should you tap your boost gauge if tapping into BOV line is bad. that is where I have my Gauge tapped into. The picture shows the J Pipe only has 1 nipple. what if you don't have the nipple.

The boost gauge should be tapped from the vacuum line between the Fuel Pressure Solenoid and the Intake Manifold.

The MBC should use the one nipple on the J-pipe/L-pipe.

nightracer91: Buy a new hose to go between the intake mani and the BOV. Use the compressor housing/J-pipe nipple for a boost pressure source for your MBC.

Hey guys, Thanx. I got a new hose for the BOV and I will be installing the MBC this weekend. So let me make sure I got this right. The end of the MBC that has the ball connects to the the turbo side, and the other end that is 90 degrees to the body of the MBC connects to the wastegate side.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I installed my boost controller correctly. I'll attach some pics. I left the stock boost controller plugged in but all the vac lines disconnected. Also, I noticed the stock boost controller was tee'd into the wastegate and j-pipe, is this normal?

I'm hitting 10psi once it spools up but falls to 7 after that and holds at 7 to redline.

Actually that's a wrong (older) way to go it. More info here - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237982

The best way to install a boost controller to prevent boost spike is to have the wastegate at one end and a boost pressure source (j-pipe) or nipple on the compressor as a boost source. You disconnect all vac lines from the boost control seloniod, you don't have to disconnect it.

Yea DGajre777, thats the instructions I used, but I wasn't sure because I've done quite a bit of turning of the knob but I guess I just haven't turned it enough LOL. Could you look at my vac lines for the mbc and see if thats correct? With the 10psi that bleeds to 7psi is what kinda concerns me about the install of it.

Take it off, if it comes apart, and see what side of the spring the ball is on. It should be on the wastegate side of the spring. It should go from spring > ball > nipple on MBC > wastegate.

I have mine hooked up the "New" way and I still spike. Thats why I said I get the same result.
You might not have noticed any difference in "boost spike" but I'm almost positive that your BOV is open under boost. Do not tap the BOV line!!

Glliw, the first 5 turns does mostly nothing on most mbc's.
