Maybe not crankwalk, But what about rod bearings?

I know everytime someone says something about a 2g eclipse the first thing people say is it will get crankwalk. Well other ppl say that not true. But i was looking around for people who have gotten crankwalk and noticed that alot of 7 bolts spin rod bearing. So i was wondering, is the rod bearings another problems with the 7 bolts? I know i spun a rod bearing and acouple of my friends have to.

Spun rod and main bearings can happen to ANY engine.

Bad master cylinder? Maybe you need to bleed your clutch?
Only way to find out is to check. I bought my car with "crankwalk" and it was a spun rod. It's not impossible. It's simply not as common and people say it is. They don't measure the crank play to verify if it is crankwalk or not.

If you spun a rod bearing - did you hear any thud or loud noise from the engine?
Your clutch cylender either master or slave could be on its way out...and not keeping pressure so you have all the work on the clutch....which is really bad for the clutch.

I wouldnt worry about crankwalk.

The rod bearings may or may not be a problem, but I walked without spinning one (destroyed the crank angle sensor before anything significant could happen). YMMV.

I've owned 2 95s, first one spun a rod bearing when I accidentally boosted a 50 trim past 30 pounds of boost. Fully rebuilt, never walked. I've had my second one for about a month now, 140k on the odometer, still going strong.
