What are drilled rod bearings?

So I'm build a 6 bolt 4g63 and I'm purchasing both main and rod bearings. I noticed on rods there's a "drilled rod bearing" option for $20 at Jay Racing. Wanted to know what that was and get a little more familiar with building bottom end 4g motors. I'm about a week away from building mine 20 over JE pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, and a fresh crank
Any advice as well will be highly appreciated. Thanks

You don't need them with the rods you have. Drilled rod bearings are for alum rods

agreed on the aluminum rods... double check all of your measurements. you can never measure too much.

Agreed. The Aluminum rods will generally have a pin pressed into the cap that helps keep the bearings from getting loose and spinning.
The pin goes into that drilled hole.

Yup, drilled for the pin on the cap of an aluminum rod.
You'll just need regular off-the-shelf bearings for your Eagle rods.
