Do you guys think you could chang a rod bearing without pulling the motor? I was just going to pull off the oil pan and do it from below. I'm thinking about buying a 2G GSX that spun one.

If all you do is replace the bearing it might make it 10 minutes. Time for a complete teardown. All of the bearing material in the oil system must be cleaned out, even the lifters must be flushed. Then you'll need a new crankshaft, and at least resizing of the bad rod. Don't forget a new oil cooler, they love to hide bits and pieces of garbage.

...and turbo. All of the metal that once belonged in your low end is now stuck in your thrust plate and journal bearings, depriving your turbo of oil.

Sure you can get away with replacing just the rod bearings for now, but it's not going to fix your problem(s).

Some guy just tried to sell me a brand new turbo off of an engine with 500 miles that blew an oil line and was run until it seized. He didn't understand he just ruined a $6,000 build.

Depends on how bad the bearing is chewed up! I spun 3 rod bearings last september, pulled the oil pan replaced all 4 bearing and sill no issue to this day! But it didn't score my crank at all.
But like jusmx141 said, the turbo will need rebuilt they collect every thing that goes through it.
