I have JICs and I wanna mount with at least 245/40/17 w/ 17/8 +40 off set. I did some research and found out out that was the most I could fit on my AWD 2g. But that wasn't based on JICs... So does anybody know anything about tire fitment w/ JICs? Any help will be appeciated!

The JICs on a 2g does not matter for clearance. A 17x8 40 offset will fit with room to spare. If your looking for wider an 8.5 or 9 is what people are more than experimenting with these days. I just got in my new set of daily wheels a 17x9 wedsports, we will see how she looks.

Another thing to consider is if you want these to bolt on and work or if you would want to modify the car to accept a wider wheel (roll fenders maybe). It will also depend on the ride height with the JIC's.

2g's can handle much wider than 245's.
Welcome!

Wow that's pretty cool, according to this I might be able to fit 18's 10.5" wide rims +15 offset, 285/40/18 tires ... I just gotta check my camber set up on the JICs then... will be able to pull awesome G's... :thumb:

Idk about you guys but ever since my body kit was put on and the inside of wheel wells were gutted and thinned with sheet metal so water still shoots down..I have been using 215-35Z-R18 for a while with a 4-inch drop!!! But..the ride was so horrible in michigan with potholes and 35 profile I just couldnt not standthe aching of bumps from the profile and also from the 4-inch drop. I bought KYB Gas struts with a 4" drop, camber ball joint kit. A lug kit for widening axle without even touching it. (There like lugs bolts and spacers. Now I use two different sets. I use the with my brand new 18" Tenzo's that fit 235-245..i use 245-40Z-R18...The 40 profile with your 18's really helps with lightening up rim damage. Lastly I have a pair of 20's. I run 235-30-R20. Which are taller to the 18's when compared but with how big my wheel well is now since modification. I can fit 20's even with a 4-inch drop...

I really like the idea of the 275/40/17's in there, but I'll need to find some fender flares, ### sticks out alot...
