manually cranking the motor over

alright so its a dumb question i think but i got a talon thats been sitting a while and i wanna make sure its not seized up i was wondering 1) if i can put a rachet on the the crank and turn it over that way and 2) because its an auto i should have no problem putting it in neutral and it will spin correct?

1. Yes. Pull the plugs first and it should spin relatively easily. Turn it clockwise (as you face the crank sprocket)

its been sitting for awhile so should i put something in the cylinders to lube them or should i be alright if i turn it slow? i just wanna prevent damage to the cylinder walls.
