ive read the other post about this but there was no answer to the conflict between the magnus intake manifold vs the jmf. im wanting to get one of the to cause one buddy of mine has the jmf an another had the magnus but there both to hot headed and both theres are the best. so if theres any updates on either of the two i would like to know??

thanks for the link

ill definately keep that in mind thanks:thumb:

well it definately looks like ill be ordering the jmf

well motor isn't stock i have a fully bult 1gen 6bolt with a forced perfomance fp3052 but im going to go with the jmf manifold

This site did tests on several manifolds; http://206.124.12.138/intake/. JM Fab isn't in there, Extreme and Magnus are at the top. Even if JM Fab isn't up there they hold a pretty good name and I definitely would not doubt it was up there or better. Several racing teams chose JM Fab over Magnus.

Actually the Old Venom intake manifold Took 1st place out of all in that test... And the 1g stock Intake took 1st in the Midrange by a large margin in that test.. too bad the old Venom is no longer sold and it was only rated for 25psi... :( I would also like to see a new test just against the newest version of the JMF, Magnus and AMS...

That review was done in early 2004. I'm not positive, but I don't think the JMF was availible at that time. I also would like to see a head to head comparison between the two.:thumb:

we just took off a venom off my buddy's 2g 6bolt. we swapped on a Full Function intake manifold with a 75mm tb. from 2500rpm and up...it picked up about 18whp through the whole range on the exact same tune. just imagine this compared to a stock manifold, pretty impressive IMO.

Performance intake manifolds are for high end power for big turbo and built engines not low end or midrange power.

i don't believe that at all. like i said in the above post, we picked up 20whp at 2500rpm and up...i consider that low & midrange power.

Looking at the Full Function, it's not a race intake manifold. The runners and definitely smaller than the Magnus, JM Fab Race, and Venom.

Bigger runners = midrange power and smaller runners = lowrange. That's the difference between the JM Fab Street Manifold vs. JM Fab Race Manifold.

I wouldn't get a intake manifold now if you still have stock turbo. The will hurt the power.

Not entirely true I have one of the first "street versions" of the 1G intake and it's a 2G plenum on 1G runners ( cause I custom ordered it this way before he offered it ).....smaller plenum makes it the street version. ;)
