I wanted to know what you thought would be a wiser decision...magnus intake manifold or a JM fabrications intake manifold???

I want some good old top-end and I have heard that these two are the best. Any suggestions????

Price is not a problem...matter of fact, I have both of them in my hands as we speak. Check out the pics.

Since you have both, why not find out for yourself as well as others? Install one, and dyno it, as well as record how it reacts on the street, then do the same with the other. I'm sure plenty of people would like to know how they stack up to each other on the exact same setup.

I have a built SBR Stage II motor with a GT30R Turbo. Will that do?
No need to get snotty about it. This is why your profile is there, for you to update your current mod info so people don't post replies like that. If you have nothing in your profile, we are to assume you have a stock, or close to stock setup.

Dyno Sessions are expensive.

You have almost $3,000 worth of SMIM's alone and your telling me dyno sessions or expensive? ROFL

Dyno sessions generally run $50 for 3 pulls w/ out tuning. So $100 for both sessions and you have your answer.

i have an awd, the nearest dyno spot is 2 hours away and its 120 with no tunning but i plant to tune aswell so its gonna run 180 for 3 pulls.

Then sell one of your "extra" AMS SMIM's, and there is all your dyno money plus mutch extra.

i dont have an AMS smim, i have a JMF one and a magnus one. i just want help on deciding which one i should bolt on so i can tune my car and hopefully not have to take it apart again in a long time. at first glace the magnus seems superior but looks can be deceiving so im trying to get info from people who have actually ran them before.

i'd pm them. i'm sure you'll get some responses that way.

how did you end up with both?

I got the magnus and my dad bought me the JMF...he didn't know I already ordered the Magnus and I didn't know he was ordering me the JMF.

you should take them to a machine shop and have them build a jig and flow test them like they would a cylinder head... or u could do it your self...
first you would need a velometer or a manometer like they use in hvac to measure air flow...then you would need to make a jig to bolt to the manifold. maybe throttlebody you are using and silicone elbow would do...
then hook up a leaf blower, or other wind creating device(with known cfm output) to both then measure the air flow out of both manifolds ie: each runner then compare... my buddy did it this way to compare the extreme motorsports to the magnus and he chose the extreme afterwards...

further more he found that the veloicty stacks were hurting power being that they protrude out so much inside the plenum. if they were flush mounted with a smooth transition from stack to plenum it would be an amazing design... but because the stacks stick out so far... they cause the air to have turbulance and bounce around alot inside the plenum... basicly making a traffic jam in the middle of the maniflod right before the air is pushed down the runners...forced induction u want the air path as smooth as possible not bumpy and turbulant.... just my two cents...

i am a little tired sorry for gramatical errors and crappy explaination abilites.

Let your old man have the good feeling of getting you a really nice gift, and sell the Magnus. That's just my take on it. I'd feel pretty s***ty returning such a well thought out and nice gift... or selling it.
