Hey guys,

I am looking to purchase a new exhaust manifold and have two options in mind. The first being Forced Performance and the second being JM Fabrications. I have googled and searched for a thread that compares the two, but found nothing. The exhaust manifold will be spooling a Evo3 Big 16G for about a month until I purchase a FP HTA DSM86. My questions are...
  • Does one flow better than the other?
  • Why is JMF so much more expensive? Is it just because its tubular and not casted?
  • In your personal opinion, if budget wasn't a concern which would you choose and why?

With link you tell it what size injector and all, but you still have to set global and dead time yourself and it takes abit to find that sweet spot. There are numbers to start with but every setup is different as well as injector. This is one reason I like fic especially now that they have data match, maybe that's what you might wanna consider changing the brand of injector. Maybe send this guy a email he's always been helpful to me. Remote Tuning,Custom Chips & ECU Flashing - DSM Classifieds
I can't find any setting for ecuflash for global fuel, ive been searching around. Either im not seeing it, or it isn't there. Been doing lots of research, but nothing concrete yet. Likely because im working on a platform with 0 customer support, unlike ECMlink. I am starting to realize how important that is. :) Too bad im hardheaded and think I can figure everything out easily with no problems.

Just putting in my 2 cents. I have a Dsm86 with an FP manifold and it's a good fit. I thought I was gonna have to dent my waterpipe BUT, it fits. Barely, but it fits without a single ding in the pipe. The outlet hole in the FP manifold is the exact size of the inlet on the turbine housing. The diameter of the holes at the head is nice as well. I've seen a DNP that kinda choked down a bit. Also, it's not too far away from the holidays. I got mine around the holidays last year for around $150 I think and it's by no means a piece of junk that you'd expect when paying that little.

To get anything other than an FP manifold for a "bolt-on" turbo would just be stupid. I mean think about it. Has anyone been saying anything bad about the FP manifold? Not that I've seen. It's cast, doesn't put off heat like a tubular manifold would, less chances of cracking, etc. etc. So why go with anything else and take the chance?

Lastly, get the bolts from Darren at FFWD Connection and save on money and get higher quality bolts.

This thread should be a no-brainer.

Have been running a dnp t4 mani for the last 5 years. No cracks. Good manifold for the price. Only complaint is after you run over 65lbs/m the thing glows good because it is so thin.
I would deff get the fp if i had a stock frame.

For stock frame turbo I would do a FP all day. I did have a DNP with a 14b/B16G, and a 20g for 4 years with out one issue of cracking or anything. I would just go the FP route now because for the price and proven performance you cant beat it.
