thought i make a new thread because more than just the people helping me lately may know the answer to this.

Ok, i am looking to buy a new exhaust now, and after alot of searching, i too like the Magnaflow quiet a bit. I searched and found a million places that sell the exhaust, and also saw that i shuold go with ebay. Before i pick a random company off ebay, i have a few questions. I want to get a turbo-back, i am not really looking to pay someone twice to install exhaust stuff, so i want to do it in one swoop.

I found about 10 links to Magna flow exhaust systems, all the same price.

question 1, a "exhaust system" is cat back, correct? well i am almost positive, i didn't see a cat in the picture -> http://www.car-stuff.com/performanc...7&model=186&brand=3069&part_name=83&category=

*edit* ok check that link ^^

that is the same pic i saw in all the links i found on the internet. Well should i just go with the cat back, and not worry about the turbo back? And all 10 i found were the same part number, but which one will work for a GS-T? the 470 one says Engine – Chassis:
3.8L, V6 — Eclipse

but that doesn't make sense for a 95-99..

I think i would want to buy a magna flow cat so i could increase the flow through my exhaust system, but as you may know, i am pretty new to this, so unsure if i need it.

If i could get some advice on the exhaust system, i would appreciate it. Goals are around 250 whp, so 2.5 inch is ok (and cheaper right? :) ) but i want the full exhaust, not just the tip.

thanks! read here if you want to learn what i have done to my car already with help from you tuners http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252567

only thing is that that particular exhaust is 3 inch piping, larger than i was orginally going to need, so that means i will have to find a downpipe and high flow cat that is also 3 inches, as well as the O2 housing so i can put it all together.

I have to find a place to get all that or order everything from different places if i want to be able to put it on my car, that cat back won't do me any good connecting it to my stock cat right now.

And because with a roommate and no garage, not sure how long i will be able to have a cat back system laying on the living room floor before i get it installed, not to mention i am looking foward to the benefits of having it installed and hearing my car sound awsome.

I personally have the RNR 3 inch turboback with the high flow cat, I got the whole thing for 870 shipped to my door. It is stainless and includes the o2 eliminator.

However that price on the mangnaflow is great. With the roommate situation it might be better to get all the pieces at once, so they won't be sitting around as long.

You can always piece the system together if it will save you money though. Just a word or warning if you buy from RNR the quality is great but you will need to wait a long time before you get it.

here there is a cat back for $440 http://www.vrsexhaust.com/MAGNAFLOWCB__/MAG-MITSUBISHI/mag-mitsubishi.html and that isn't bad at all.

ok well i think it is my best bet to go with the above mentioned cat back. But i am going to need a few more things before i can get it installed.

Just so i am correct in saying this, before i can (or the shop w/e) bold on this exhaust system, i need the following:

hi flow cat

downpipe

O2 housing

are those the only three things i need to get this thing on my car? And with the above mentioned cat back and the cat i get later, the car will be smog legal in california right?

if so i am going to have to look for a place to buy just those parts seperatly, and i will need to find them asap because i want to order all these parts at the same time. If someone could verify the parts i need remaining, lets start the search for the remaining parts for this exhaust! ;)

thanks

I hope you realize that "i" isn't "I". In the future, it would be much appreciated if you used the "Shift" key where appropriate, and made an adequate attempt of using grammar.
