Ok. I am thinking about getting a MAFT with 3.0" GM MAF.
I have stock 450 but plan on going to 650cc.
Can I just plug this in or do I have to tune the computer.
I am reading both ways from all over the place and dont want to waist my money.
Any help on this would be great.

I have
EVOIII 16g
Frontmount intercooler
2 1/2 piping
Forged pistons and rods
Balanced crank shaft
Stainless valves
Titanium retainers
Stainles exhaust manifold
2 5/8 exhaust from turbo back
No cat

Thank you for any help

I had it i would get a logger but then you could have link lite and skip the maft and be set for the future, sold mine upgrading to full this spring, no more maft issues. LOL

For the most part, a stock MAF will most likely be more than sufficient for your setup.

For me, one of the benefits is running blow-through. Yes, this means you can vent properly, but if you plan on running high boost, you'll probably end up blowing a coupler off every now and then. With draw through, you'd be stuck on the side of the road trying to get it fixed. GM MAF blow through will keep your car running (assuming if the coupler blew out before the MAF).

The base settings and having the idle, mid, WOT zeroed out aren't a good long term solution. For me, I had mine setup for a 440's, and had to richen up idle, lean out mid, and richen up WOT a lot. It'll be different on every car. The given charts aren't completely accurate. My current setup has 880cc's with a chip, so I really should have my MAF-T set for 450s, but they're set for 580s to get my fuel curve to lean out properly.

PLEASE USE A A DATA LOGGER OR SOME TYPE OF MONITORING DEVICE. Aside from possible damage to the car, you won't be able to fully unleash all the ponies, and your gas milage can suffer.
