Initially I was running SD, I tuned it fairly decently, and I could at least run my base setting for my wastegate which was 13 psi. My AFRs looked good and it idled ok. I want to try a MAF setup to see if I could really hone everything in. The ECMlink wiki recommends running a MAF before SD, so I kinda did it backwards. Now I am trying to do it right. That’s here at this link
Checklist:
  1. No boost/vacuum leaks
  2. Base timing set to 5 degrees BTDC
  3. New Spark Plugs and wires gapped to .028”
  4. The motor has about 400 miles on it
  5. Throttle body rebuilt
  6. Stock compression ratio
  7. Good battery voltage, new alternator belt, no CEL codes or DTCs
  8. Setup MAP sensor in dsmlink – confirmed working through front O2 input, but this is post turbo.
  9. SDRation added to logged variables
  10. 2g MAF rewired – baro input logged, but only reports one value, I imagine because of the MAP sensor
  11. SDRatio engine displacement set

Another link on how to tune a MAF with ECMlink:

I have a 2g MAF that I have rewired for my 1g. I setup my map to run through my front O2 input, and I am simulating my narrowband with my wideband LC-1 WB.
Attached are 2 logs the and here is a link to the first log that is to large to upload. The first log is a base setting that I had from previously trying to do this. The global scalar selected and the MAFComp Adjust (combineFT) were run from a different log to get these base settings. So I drove, and I drove. It’s a long log, but when you run the MAFcomp adj on it, it gives a fairly different curve, which I adjusted to and drove with in the second log. I know that I wasn’t running a into a lot of boost, mainly because it felt like fuel cut. The third log shows large percentage adjustments of 22.7%. After doing that, you can clearly see that I was able to get into some boost. What’s with the MAF signal? It seems to be jumpy as hell. Does it have to do with the MAF being pre turbo? Does my MAP being post turbo and my MAF being pre turbo screw things up?
