Hey guys I'm new to the forum...I just picked up a 1990 eagle talon tsi...it was bone stock.now has front mount.full 3" exhaust.2g manifold.2g throttle body elbow.20g turbo. 3.5" gm mass air.maf translator gen 2.wideband..and boost Guage with boost controller...ok so since I installed every thing...the car has not been running right.every now and then the car jerk.when I give it gas.only when I give it mid throttle or higher...some times it doesn't do it at all.any thoughts.
 
The car was sitting for 12 years...just about every thing was rotted.if it was salvageable I would have left it alone.it has a 255 walbro fuel pump sorry forgot to mention that but the injectors are stock.and it's not running crazy boost when it does decide to let me give it gas it only hits 14 psi.
 
What do you have to tune it with? Dsm link or aem or black box. Also what's the wide band reading? Need injectors as well. if the cars been sitting so long I assume you did the proper maintenance and tune up and fluid changes. And did a boost leak test correct.
 
He's tuning with a maf translator but its the gen 2 version. It has wideband tracking and what not and can be used similar to an safc, it has an in cabin diplay that . I don't have personal experience with the gen 2 but was always curious if anyone had luck with it.
 
Went back to the shop that wired it up.the wideband was supposed to be wired into the gen 2...not the car is running perfect.with some minor adjustments.to the gen 2.now that being said.I'm looking to sell the 3.5" gm mass air with the translator gen 2.if any one is interested let me know.it's a bit much for what I'm trying to do with the car.
 
Ok brought the car in to get tunned.it's now over boosting like crazythe guage shows 35 psi and that's where it stops..only hit it twice..and the car is randomly cutting out or hesitating.very rare it happens but it still happens would like to try to trouble shoot it my self.didn't have enough money on the spot for them to break it down and fine tune it any ideas.any help would be great thanks
