Hey guys so I called around and finally found a shop that could talk to me about 4g63's and knew somewhat about them, so I feel a little more confidant in trusting them. there's also one more shop that's going to call me back to see if they can use a torque plate from a company (renting) but the first shop said to get the short block to where I can assemble it will cost 750-900 for machine work. not including rods and pistons and so forth. I've never had a block worked on yet so I was wondering how you all felt about this price tag. pretty normal? high? should I look around more? sounded like everything was in the quote he mentioned checking for cracks, hot tank, bore, resurface, line hone, blue print, balanced. or should I just try to order one up from a shop a used one off the classifieds scares me a little because I just don't know what condition its in and everything.
