Its a GS, he aint goin anywhere.

For a turbo car or any performance car, air ride is ghey. But for a show car or an s10, its pretty hot. I think the 3 wheel deal is pretty werd for shows and what not. I dunno if id be sticking my head under the tire or ne thing, but whatever bloats your boat.

1). Re-install your damn front bumper core support, its there for a reason. Is dA bLiTz worth your radiator, engine, or your life (incase of a head-on or you rear end someone)?

2). Paint your body kit. If you must sport something so hideous, at least have the deciency to paint the damn thing the same color as your car. If you wanted to sport around like that, you shouldve bought a Honda.

99% of the guys on this board are looking for speed thats whys this board is here. Note "suspension tuning" meaning tuning you suspension for maximum performnace. Air ride is opposite of performance. Plus you can get a sweet as turbo kit/upgrade for the amount of money you spend on that air-ride stuff....

I dont know why people even want to post shit here. I simply recommended air ride "to the person who was directed towards show". Not everyone wants speed. That is why i drive a RS. So, if i want to "tune my suspension" for looks, by putting air ride on it, or anyone else for that matter, why you guys gotta dog it? Thats pretty pathetic in my eyes.
Another thing, why talk trash to someone who is showing their work in progress. I'm sure not everyone is as rich as you diesel boy who can paint and have their body kit installed at the same time.
But anyway, either way you look at it, alot of the shit that you people say just to bring someone and their car down is bull shit.

1). :laugh: LMFAO!!!..I wish!!! I drive a 1G for gods sake, not a Supra or something.

2). Well first, I wouldnt have a kit on in the first place, and even if I did, I would never put a piece of unpainted product on my car.

My motto is all go, no show. I do realize people have different idea's and purposes for their cars, and believe it or not, I respect it. Man, I remember a long time ago, even though Ive always been performance first, I used to stick up for you all show guys. Guess sometimes I get a little worked up over it. somebody needs to lock this thread. it has nothing to do with anything anymore. there were a few people that helped me out a lot. others offered their opinions and i respected them(air ride, it looks bad ass to me but i am going performanced based now so it wouldnt work out). now its only about ripping on everyone else. we all have DSM's. i know a few people that are N/T and a few that have turbo DSM's. i like them all, not everyone cares about racing. some people just like to go to shows. so lets stop ripping on everyone elses cars. there is no reason for it. LOCK THIS THREAD!

Another side note but: The front bumper core support is only there for the Government issued "5 MPH" crash test. Anything over that and it starts breaking away to the main subframe/front end areas.

I got this on my head and talked to my friend that crashed his car once!
It was a very light crash... Results? That Core of his was history... So I'd guess a crash @ 60mph, with it or without it, is not gonna have any affect in how bad it gets.

8). Had it since November, been driving since March, been modding since May.

9). For one, I have no fuel mods, Im not gonna be very fast on 14psi untuned. Two, I havent ran at the track yet, so how am I gonna be able to post times. And three, I havent even begun to dig in to bigger turbo, internals, and tuning. I have basic performance upgrades. Running low 13's as is not isnt gonna put me in the fastest group. Tuned with fuel running 12's will be nice and nothing to sneeze at. FP3055, cams, more tuning, in 11's, then maybe. Ive got a long way to go and theres alot faster cars than me with alot more mods than me on this websight genius.

i belive you can buy thick rubber mat at many hardware stores and building supply stores.. you can modify your side skirts by cutting a chunk out just wide enough for a jack to get under and then rivet the rubber piece(cut to fit and painted to match.. or not) in place and perhaps use some kind of fastener at the bottom to secure it better, and then all you have to do is just unscrew the fastener and lift up the flap to get to the jacking point to raise the car. it sounds ghetto, but if you are out of options and the car is really that low, then a drastically lowered car just might call for drastic measures to make it servicable. that;s all i can think of that would be somewhat cheap yet simple and efficient.

tisk tisk...... all this fighting about a silly "help my car is too low" question.

Just for your general info there is a company putting out a sport suspension for the WRX that does use strut bags... aka air bags. they are tuneable from the cabin for firmness level set to the driving you want to do... o I guess in this case you could have the air and still be fast.

I also own a s-10 that has air bags on it and yeah it was fun to play with for a summer or 2 and yes I has REAL air ride ( hops nearly 12") and it was a pain in the ass shit was always breaking with it......and INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!

your best bet for getting the car in th air if you need to is use a scissor jack to get it started.. nothing starts out quite as low as one and you can sit it right behind the front tires with the crank point out the wheel well.. this is what I always had to do...

To me personally I think a GST/X looks great straight off the production line, a body kit only makes it look worse. at most I want a set of wheels and maybe a 1" lower.
