so today i got to install my autometer boost gauge; the car is pretty much stock (except for a K&N ) from what i`ve been reading the numbers that i get are wrong; i get 15 hg in vacum and 5 psi max boost (sometimes spikes to 7) i already checked for any leaks and everything is correct
any idea on whats happening?

im too scared to go past 15psi. Too many things have broken already.

I cant get the boost controller to go any lower than 17 psi. Ive already cut the lines as short as i could. cut a few pieces off of the spring. covered up that little hole on the controller....

I don't know what else to do

I used the 3/8" vaccum hose. Its smaller than the 1/4" bov line hose. Is that maybe creating a problem?

The ball inside the controller doesn't really move around freely. Is that it?

What to do, what to do.

damn ebay mbc.

You probably hooked it up backwards. The line opposite the knob should go to the vacuum source (splice into the BOV line with a T connector) and the one on the side of the controller should go to the wastegate. The ball should be spring loaded inside so no it shouldn't.

I hooked mine up so fast before work that I reversed them and was getting 25 PSI OMG
The setting on the knob won't matter if it's reveresed either.
