low boost?

hey guys i did search but couldnt find anythign what could give me low boost i have a 6bolt swap 14b turbo in a 2g i had a mbc but it would spike up to 20 or more and wouldnt let me turn it town so i jsut put the stock 2g bcs and it stayed at 15 just my bov would pop up well after driving it around like that for a day or two i finally noticed really no boost so i found a way to keep that bov down but now i have no boost in first it will go up to 8 psi after that it will stay at 5 any ideas on what should i check do im gonan do a leak down test but thats alot of psi to drop and ideas will help thanks alot
